But Tomorrow May Rain So I'll Follow The Sun

Photobucket

I fully realize that I am inexcusably tardy beyond legitimate reasoning regarding my new found love for The Beatles. Prior to a few months ago, The Beatles were nothing more than a stagnant mystery to me, but thanks to my crush (pause for romantic sigh, hee hee) I have now fully boarded the BeatleMania bandwagon. Their music being upheld as that of insurmountable greatness even decades after their heyday, today's prepubescent girls rocking band tees and patches; it is easily proven, without a doubt, that The Fab 4 definitely had that somethin'.

On a related note, this is Jude, my acoustic guitar. I have always imagined myself as one of those prairie skirt wearing, wavy and disheveled hair having women singing the sounds of my soul in a hole-in-the-wall cafe. I can't wait to finally be able to put my many notebooks full of poetry to music. First lesson: Locating and memorizing the G chord, heh heh. My father got me Guitars for Dummies on DVD, and despite the slight negative connotation in the title, I'm looking forward to mastering this beautiful instrument and getting my strum on; tips and advice are graciously welcome.PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket

My parents were the biggest Beatles fans ever and I grew up listening to their tunes...

I like the way you rock these pop n' rock Masters. Your bell bottoms look so 'fancy' - as they'd put it in Liverpool - on you! And just keep on learning that guitar... you'll make it if you want!

Yessss...
I love how you matched the outfit with the Beatles inspiration. Those jeans are IT!

I think everyone has a hard time getting into bands when they're THAT famous. It's as if they seem cliche, until that day when you really connect to one of the songs. I did the same with The Doors.

PS. I recommend checking out their "Hard Day's Night" movie if you haven't already seen it... classic.

Hey, Jude! Haha.

You should watch Across the Universe if you haven't yet. It's amazing.

Good luck with your guitar! Acoustic guitar is so melodic, I've always wanted to learn. Only bad thing about guitar is getting callused fingers!

Unknown said...

I've tried a few times to learn the guitar, but my fingers are just useless!

Oh, and I LOVE She Wolf :) What I meant was at first I hated it but it just grows on you, and now it's my fave!

Love the Beatles post, I need to listen to them more.
