In these photos I just happen to be wearing a mixture of some of my most favorite pieces; I cannot help but laugh because while many girls put their platform Diors on a pedestal, I put on my worn in, worn out, yet comfy and consistently convenient, favorite pair of Chuck Taylors.
My red cheetah print pants that I personally distressed are another wardrobe favorite because aside from loving cheetah print, just the combination of animal print and the color red add a fun sense of intrigue, drama, and just enough sex appeal. I decided to add this sheer, zebra print top to the mix because I decided that mixing animal prints is pretty fun and I like the way a white top looks with these pants because wearing a black one would be way too expected and run of the mill.
This spiderman esque hoodie is a definite favorite because I love Spiderman with all my heart and I adore the boyish yet cute feel of this piece. When I first got it, it sparkled like diamonds and the glitter from it left my trace where ever I went..it was like my version of spider venom and it was sooo cool.
Lastly, my geek chic spectacles that I got in San Francisco this summer were a great ending to this magically mixed look because it was a small tribute to Peter Parker and it completely fit with the grunge direction this look ended up taking, hmm, why do so many of my outfits take this direction?

Effervescent
This dress is another Betsey Johnson reminiscent find, one that had me gaping at the mouth upon witness! The cotton candy colors, soft pleating, and floral detail immediately warped my mind back to the 1950's, which is why it felt necessary to include pearls as part of the ensemble. I adore the sweetheart, vintage vibe that so effervescently shines through this piece! The best part is that the dress was only $6.00! It had originally been $24.95 and I decided to wait on it for this dress instead, and wow, it was definitely worth the wait indeed!
Word to the wise: Do not wear a really cute, great priced, bold piece that you bought from your job to your job when all the customers are steadily purchasing the same one. Wow, as girls brushed past me with the dress I was wearing in their hands, I felt like a walking mannequin or a catalog-come-to-life. However, it was slightly amusing to say "Oh, I have that dress!" to the girls grabbing it off the rack as they met me with a mixture of chuckles and uncomfortable glances, mostly uncomfortable glances.
P.S: Don't these sunnies remind you of Anna Wintour? Totally, right?

It's always obvious when Patricia Field has played stylist to a movie. Bursts of fluorescent and fun loving drama are her signature! Seeing the girls of Sex and the City floating across the screen in the most unique, enticing, and statement making looks never fail to have me furiously jotting notes of inspiration during every episode.
I love the free and unique style of Patricia Field; how she takes a common, staple piece and remixes it in a totally new way, allowing you to look at the piece in an entirely different light. Her style makes you want to do nothing more than run to your closet and play dress up, over sized hats and feather boas included!
The texture combinations, the bright, detailed palettes and especially the confident, bold attitude Field exudes in her looks inspire me in a way that any other designer just fails to accomplish (except maybe Betsey Johnson, shh). Maybe the fact that Field is a costume stylist for the big screen forces her looks to be more funky and dramatic than other designers. I love that she keeps fun, drama, and dreams at the forefront of her style, adding a unique freshness to even the most regal of looks.
Lastly, our shared affection (obsession) for Hello Kitty and Diet Coke cement the overflowing amount of love and adoration I have for this fierce (hate that word but it's fitting), funky, and extraordinarily eccentric fashionista!

All Time Lowe
I adore how plaid works so well in an array of different looks. It allows you to be girly, grunge, chic, and sophisticated while brightening your look with a combination of different colors and a fun yet not overbearingly bold pattern. I scored this plaid printed top from the Fashion District of Downtown LA. I love the originality of the piece- its asymmetrical neckline, and super cool button and zipper detailing!
In addition, I'm obsessed with my tutu and plan on accumulating many more in the near future. When I bought it, everyone questioned how much use I would get out of an item rarely seen outside of a ballet recital yet it stands solid as one of my favorite pieces in my entire wardrobe! Soon everyones question changed to when I would stop wearing it, as it has subconsciously began to show up at least once a week in my outfit pairings.
If this post is lacking in any way, it is because I'm running on two hours of sleep thanks to the stressful, nail biting plight that is finals week. Thank God its over, I almost didn't make it! If not for the two liter Diet Coke I ravishly consumed at two in the morning (causing me to believe that their may have been traces of actual coke in there because I was hyper beyond reason) I may not be here, and Oh mah gah, Christmas is less than two weeks away!

Making a Spectacle
This jumper was a last minute purchase from Buffalo Exchange on Haight in SF, to think I almost bounced without this sic, dream garment! My cousin insisted it was goofy and told me to put it down three different times but the quirky, cute deer images combined with the cotton ruffle hem just begged to play. The fun images and the garment's bright but slightly droned color palette allow for an array of variously hued additions; and later, when I noticed the random phrases "Knock, knock" and "Go ahead"crazily scribbled onto the piece's front, my mind immediately pranced with thoughts of Japan and I knew that purchasing this jumper was no longer a question but a mandatory task. I decided to wear it with my new specs, which I'm head over heels in love with because glasses have such a cute, intelligent and personality filled look to them, not to mention my near sightedness rivals that of geriatrics. Lastly, not that I needed another reason to love this piece of perfection in animated-clothing-form, but the fact that my tutu compliments it flawlessly assures, without the slightest question, a fashion fantasy come true!
