Great Minds Think For Themselves

Today: ...went to the bank. Two young women in line decided my choice of clothing was laugh out loud funny and proceeded to crack jokes with one of the tellers' about what I was wearing. When I reached a teller, the previous one that had participated in the not-so-discreet berating of my outfit, attempted to invite my teller in on the fun. However, the teller boldly replied "I'm not participating in that type of behavior", and shot her coworker a dissapproving glance. My friend and I laughed as we exited; people these days...

And for the record, I was wearing a one sleeved floral/black blouse, cinched with a skinny studded belt, black distressed denim shorts, fishnet leggings, and calf length black boots; pretty innovative but not so newsworthy (didn't even manage to get a picture :/)

I have never been one to make fun of people for being different, instead I've always celebrated individuality. The freedom to be an individual is the number one thing that draws me to fashion! The ability to create moods, feelings, and art through clothing is why I love fashion. Being able to say a million things and express yourself without even saying a word..ah, what a gift!

On Twitter, @asherroth stated: "Great minds discuss ideas, average minds discuss events, small minds discuss people." Amen Brotha ;))) and @Rose0321 tweeted that: "The reason people talk behind your back is because you're ahead of them." Oh by the way, feel free to follow me on Twitter, I need more fashionable friends, and how fuuun is it to see all my weird personal photos and random/eccentric thoughts/feelings? Oooh! Hahaha...

"It is my belief that the Best People are those Who are their Own People."

"Why are you trying so hard to fit in when you were born to stand out?"

One of my favourite phrases is "Do you." Everyone is so busy trying to look life everyone else that they forget that life shouldn't be so serious all the time. You enjoy dressing the way you do then do it because I'm sure in the mornings you are being creative when you get dressed you're using your brain. They just don't recognise that.

Just my thought.
