Over All the Place

Comfy clothing is my wearable mantra. With Zumba, school, and everything in between, it's nice when your personal style can just fit seamlessly into your life without it having to be another thing to figure out.

These even more casual take on overalls are from Forever 21. I know, I know, but I can deal with Forever 21 because I get dressed for fun, not flair; and it's awesome to be able to save a little money along the way.

I'm thinking the actual name for these are coveralls, because they cover, well, mostly everything. But that sounds kind of cheesy so let's just go with "one piece."

Honestly I lived in these things on and off for a good week. Well, considering I wore the same thing at least three out of seven days, I'm not really sure how good of a week that actually was. But you know when you're wearing something pretty chill but the only people who really see you are your strange next door neighbor while taking out the trash or the bank teller when you're making a quick deposit? On days like that, especially when you feel really good and comfy in your outfit, I believe it's totally okay to "wear peat."

I made that word up but you totally know what I mean though.

Oh and peep this bag! I'm finally using the sewing machine I got about, oh, 10 years ago; so far so good.

Blossom

Okay so I admit it, I kind of fell off the blogosphere for a minute. Golly, life sure is time consuming. But now we get to play the awesome game of catch up! Excited? Well, I am!

Looking back, this look was rather spring-y, no? Ah well, florals are timeless (er, seasonless). I love the billowly fit of this dress, it's almost like a jumper because a shirt could definitely be layered under it. I really love floral with stripes, it adds a cool factor to an otherwise ultra girly pattern. And of course my faithful Chuck Taylors tagged along to grunge things up a bit.

I wore this for a small birthday celebration with my family last fall. It was nice to be back in Southern CA for awhile, actually getting to bear my extremities without fear of pnuemonia contraction. My mum made a peanut butter birthday cake in honor of my [un]healthy obsession, I was pretty thankful I wore such a loose dress.

Denim Dandelions

Back when I worked at Forever 21 in my little hometown of Palmdale, CA (shout out 661, eyy) I was always lucky to find that most of the pieces I daydreamed about during my shift ended up on sale/clearance (thank you rather eccentric personal style). Being that my city isn't very large, people are much more into blending in than standing out. So while the oversized graphic tees and feather earrings sold out in a matter of hours, the neon polo shirts and sequin leggings sat in desolation (not to mention 50% off) waiting for us to make magic together.

And while this floral denim mini dress isn't exactly a huge leap of loony, it eventually went on sale nonetheless after I would check the rack twice a week to make sure there was still a size small left. I think I might have intimidated it into becomng cheaper, either that or we were meant to be. I'll go with the latter because I'm not actually that scary. I love this dress because even though it's ridiculously short hemline pretty much forbids you (me) to rock it sans tights, the rusty, pale denim and front pockets make it perfect for a little grunge effort. I am obsessed with making pretty things a tad punky and upon first sight I knew this little number would be down for the cause.

I wore this when the San Francisco weather seemed rather chilly (uh, when is it not?) and of course, it just happened to be about 80 degrees that day; story of my life Dude. It was all good though, because people really liked my little cordury wrangler (that's what I call the pink jacket). Isn't it cool when items you've had for years upon years are still (if not more) relevant now? Seriously, I've had the cordury wrangler for centuries (since 10th grade) and I wear it more now than I ever did as a wee adolescent.

Picasso Pants

This tee is my faaaaave color right now, I need more stuff in this color blue. The print of these amazing leggings also come in bodycon dress form, would it be weird to own both? Should I be a big time fashion don't and pair the leggings with the dress as one ensemble? Haha, I'd look like a multi-colored zebra!
