What is in Other People's Minds is Not in My Mind

I see clothes differently than others, nothing is ever simple nor basic in my eyes, just unexplored. When wearing pieces that are meant to be pretty, I feel it is my duty to "unpretty" them and create a different feel. It would've been far too predictable and rather dull to pair the legendary Audrey Hepburn with a full 50's inspired swing skirt or even crisp tailored trousers (although I do like that last idea). My favorite pair of pants in all their bold, distressed and animal printed glory just clearly seemed like the more intriguing, perfectly contrasting choice. Although, I had to keep the pearls, that was pretty much a given.

I just recently watched Funny Face for the first time last week, during the SoCal flood, and I was a little distraught that absolutely no one pre warned me I was in for a musical. I must admit though, there's no one I'd rather see tap dance to corny music than Fred Astaire and the iconic Miss Hepburn. Check out the Funny Face dance sequence if you have yet to see it, too cute is she!

Hella cute! Love the contrast of badass leather to Miss Hepburn!

I didn't know that Funny Face was a musical until I saw it either. They use that one posh, poet night scene in a Gap ad!!
