In My (Optimus) Prime

The best thing about fashion is that it allows you to fully express yourself without uttering a single word...

When my brother and I were younger, my mum used to have us plan out and iron all five of our outfits for the upcoming school week on Sunday so they'd be perfectly prepared ahead of time; this may very well be a contributing factor as to why my style now tends to fall on the rather unexpected side of the spectrum, rebellion at its best.

These days, I couldn't imagine planning all of my outfits ahead of time because I tend to dress based on the way I feel. If you see me in a tutu, neon, or any other bold piece, it is safe to assume that for the most part, all is well in Dannie land. However, when donning distressed skinnies and a simple black tee, it is very possible that the stars are not aligned in my favor and I'm vying for invisibility due to one reason or another.

Remember when I posted about this super cool polka dotted skirt I picked up at Buffalo Exchange while in San Francisco this summer? Many people suggested I pair it with a simpler top due to the skirt's bold nature. However, simple very rarely makes its way into my vocabulary when on the subject of style. Instead, I decided that one of my wardrobe favorites, my child sized Transformers tee, would be the perfect accompaniment!

I was already in love with this skirt the moment I saw it due to it's giant dots and Sandra D reminescent structure, but just when I thought it couldn't get any better, I slipped it on and realized that it had pockets! Now if that isn't the icing on the already fashionably ferocious cake...
